The political decision behind establishing a new University Hospital in Odense is generated from a basic desire to improve Health Care throughout Denmark.
Over the course of the next ten years, we will see the construction of several new hospitals that are all being built in accordance with the recommendations of a Panel of Experts, who meticulously reviewed the existing Health Care System and combined these reviews with analytical projections.

A Building for the Future
Right now an empty field occupy the future site of the new University Hospital whilst only five kilometers away an existing hospital is staffed by thousands. The current University Hospital was built in 1912, and several new buildings and functions have challenged the logistics and effectiveness of the hospital.
